Telecon on galaxy pairs in MaNGA 2014/6/17

Three type of ancillary program in MaNGA (Kevin)

1. free bundles without targets (~5 percent)
2. high-value targets
3. re-allocate bundles

current (ancillary) pair proposals

• We: Close pairs in MaNGA sample, pairs in one bundle, at least one member already in MaNGA target sample.
• Lihwai: pairs with large separation, two bundles on two galaxies, need to be in overlap region of different MaNGA plates.
• Ryan: pairs in NSA sample, all the interesting objects(include the galaxy with very faint close companions down to r~20).
• Jorge: pairs in CALIFA
